1. Information You Enter and Store on Your Device
You may choose to enter or save:
- Room and project names and notes
- Window widths, heights, and mounting preferences
- Preferred window-covering styles and favorites
- Checklist progress
- User-defined estimating rates and calculation results
- Consultation inquiry information, including your name, email address, optional phone number, preferred date, and messages
- App preferences, including onboarding and appearance settings
This information is saved in local Android application storage, primarily using SharedPreferences.
It is not automatically uploaded to a DrapePath account or company server.
The App does not require account creation or sign-in.
2. How Your Information Is Used
The information you enter is used to operate the App's local features, including:
- Organizing room projects
- Displaying saved measurements
- Managing saved favorites
- Calculating planning estimates
- Preparing consultation inquiries
- Remembering your application preferences
The current version does not use an advertising or analytics SDK and does not offer in-app payment processing.
3. Internet Images and Third-Party Network Requests
DrapePath may request optional catalog and home-screen images from Pexels (images.pexels.com) using an image-loading library.
When these requests occur, the image provider and its infrastructure may receive ordinary network information, such as an IP address, request details, and technical connection information, subject to their own privacy practices.
Images may also be cached on your device.
If online images are unavailable, the App can display bundled local illustrations instead.
The App's core planning features can be used without an internet connection.
4. Email Inquiries and External Applications
When you select an inquiry or support email action, DrapePath prepares a message and opens an email application installed on your device.
You choose whether to review, edit, and send that email.
Preparing an email does not mean it has been sent or received.
If you send an email, the recipient and your chosen email service may process the personal information, measurements, and other details included in your message under their respective privacy practices.
A local copy of the prepared inquiry may remain in DrapePath's request history.
If you copy inquiry details to your device's clipboard, other applications with permitted clipboard access may be able to read them.
5. Information We Do Not Request
The current App version does not request precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, or payment-card details for its planned features.
We do not intentionally collect banking credentials, government identification numbers, or medical information.
Please avoid including sensitive personal information in free-text notes or email inquiries.
6. Permissions and Third-Party Components
The current Android version declares the INTERNET permission for optional online image retrieval.
The App uses Glide for image loading and standard Android components for local storage and external email intents.
We review third-party components when maintaining the App. Changes to data-handling behavior will require updates to this Privacy Policy and applicable disclosures.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally saved planning records remain on your device until you remove them.
You can delete individual records where those controls are available.
You may also use Settings > Clear local data to remove saved room projects, measurements, estimates, favorites, and inquiry drafts.
Some application preferences, including onboarding and theme settings, are stored separately.
To remove all local application storage and caches, use Android's system app-storage controls or uninstall DrapePath.
An email already sent using an external email service is not deleted when you remove a local DrapePath draft. Contact your email provider or recipient regarding copies stored outside the App.
8. Data Security
Locally stored information benefits from Android's application sandbox and device-level security controls.
DrapePath does not provide end-to-end encryption or a separate encrypted database for locally entered planning data.
Internet image requests use HTTPS URLs. Email transmission is handled by your chosen email application and provider.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed absolutely secure.
We recommend protecting your device with available security controls and avoiding unnecessary sensitive information in notes or inquiries.
9. Children's Privacy
DrapePath is intended as a general home-planning utility and is not specifically directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly seek personal information from children through an account service.
Parents or guardians with privacy concerns may contact us using the email address provided below.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the App's features, technologies, or information-handling practices change, or if legal requirements change.
An updated effective date will indicate the current version.
Important changes will be reflected in the App and the publicly accessible Privacy Policy linked from Google Play.
